With the newly improved, South African developed and manufactured cloning ball - DynaBall - air layering has become an easy and practical method of propagation for home gardeners, amateur horticulturists as well as commercial growers of horticulture, agriculture and floriculture products.
The DynaBall is available in 3 colour options – green, transparent and hybrid (half green and half transparent)
Our green DynaBall is UV protected, whereas the transparent ball allows for seeing the roots develop before your eyes.
The plant root cloning ball can be securely fixed to branches, with the aid of the 4 interlocking buttons for ease of use, and will help to grow roots right onto the branches to replicate your existing plants and produce a new one. It works on both indoor and outdoor plants like roses, climbers, trees, fruit bushes, fruit trees, and hard to root plants like Magnolia and Camellias.
AIR-LAYERING
What is it?
Of all the ways to create another plant, air layering is one of the simpler, easier propagation methods which doesn't require an awful lot of horticultural knowledge!
How does it work?
A piece of the original plant is wounded and remains attached to the parent plant as the new plant develops. It can be done any time of year, but works best if done while plants are actively growing. The air layer section continues to receive critical water from the mother plant, unlike cuttings that are severed from the parent plant and can easily dry out and fail.
